when Michel and Cynthia moved their culinary careers from New York to Connecticut in 1990, they became the owners of Restaurant du Village. Michel is a fourth generation pastry chef born and raised in France where, until the age of 14, he received training under his father and, afterward, formal training through a rigorous apprenticeship. Cynthia is American born and grew up in a Greek household where the dinner table was the center of life. She received her training in classical French cuisine from the Culinary Institute of America.
The Kellers are proud to be part of a steadily growing movement of restaurants supporting local farmers and providing their customers a taste of truly fresh, local cuisine. They invite you to the restaurant to share a hearty meal from their innovative and frequently changing menu.
