Jones Family Farm is a favorite with locals in the southwestern Connecticut town of Shelton, where you can enjoy locally grown fruits, harvest your own Christmas trees and a sample wide selection of tantalizing wines produced right on the farm. When you visit, it's clear to see the pride the Jones's have for their farm and the care with which they treat each customer.

The Jones family begin farming in Shelton back in the 1850's when Philip Jones settled there. The Jones' philosophy, "Be good to the land and the land will be good to you," passed down seven generations from Philip himself, still guides the farm today. Terry Jones, Philip's great-great grandson, has worked to permanently preserve most of the farm's 400 acres, ensuring that it will be enjoyed by families for generations to come. Terry's son Jamie has also added a winery and vineyard to the farm, creating handcrafted Connecticut wines that mirror the family's "dedication to agricultural excellence and innovation."

The main farm location, known as Christmas Tree Farm, is also home to the Jones Winery Tasting Room, originally the Jones family dairy barn, and a renowned selection of harvest-your-own Christmas trees. Visit the Tasting Room for a glass of handcrafted wines made from delectable grapes and sun-ripened fruits. During the holidays, the Jones' Christmas Tree Farm is transformed into a winter wonderland where your family can trounce through 200 acres of Christmas trees to find the perfect one.

During the summer bring your family to fill buckets and bellies among 30 acres of pick-your-own blueberries and strawberries at the Strawberry Valley Farm. And come back for the harvest festivities on Pumpkin Seed Hill in September and October where you can choose from 25 acres of pumpkins for carving and pie-making.
