A January 25th press release from the CT Department of Agriculture announces three Winter Farmers’ Markets that “bring an abundance of fresh nutritious, CT Grown foods together for fun and inspiring one-stop meal shopping.”

Buy CT Grown member, City Farmers’ Market Wooster Square offers customers locally raised meats, seafood, cheeses, greenhouse salad greens as well as jam, salad dressing and other prepared foods. The market is open the third Saturday of every month January through April from 10 AM – 1 PM.

The Wholesome Wave Foundation, which operates the Westport Farmers’ Market, debuted the Fairfield Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market on Saturday, January 26th. The market is located at the Fairfield Theatre Company on 70 Sanford Street every Saturday from 10 AM – 1 PM through April. CT Grown offerings include local honey, cheeses, seafood, meats and more.

A third indoor farmers’ market operated by Fiddleheads Food Cooperative in New London will take place at 13 Broad Street on Saturdays from February 2 through April 28. Market hours are 10 AM to 2 PM.
